A white layer on the tongue indicates indigestion or wrongly digested food.<\/p>\n<p>The rough layer covering the tongue is impregnated in saliva, dead cells, mucus, germs, microbes, dead white blood cells, bacteria, viruses and fungi, created by a build-up of food residues that have penetrated the tongue&#8217;s pores combined with the action of saliva and mucus.<\/p>\n<p>Cleaning your teeth without cleaning your tongue is not proper oral hygiene.
