The skin: a living border between the world and me

The skin: a living border between the world and me

The skin is the largest organ in our body. It is not only a surface that surrounds us. It is the boundary that separates who I am from the outside world. Everything it touches, everything it touches, everything it tries to enter: it first passes through it.

Our skin is a living limit. Breathe, feel, remember. It informs the nervous system of cold, heat, danger and pleasure. It protects what we are on the inside while continuing to dialogue with what is happening outside.

In Ayurveda, the skin is not understood as a simple outer layer. It is a mirror of the body and mind. When there is excess stress, it inflames. When there is no rest, it turns off. When there are toxins, he counts it without filters. The skin always speaks, even when we don’t want to listen.

Taking care of the skin is taking care of the relationship with the world. To take care of it is to dignify that intimate space where the external ends and one’s own begins.

At Jeevan Ayurveda we work to restore your deep health, your firmness, your light. Not to freeze time or deny the life that passes, but so that that border remains strong, flexible and serene.

May the skin remain what it should be: a safe border, a sacred territory, a bridge between what is visible and what is only felt.
