Milk

Thanks to milk's long list of beneficial properties, it is a basic ingredient in ensuring a naturally healthy, beautiful skin.

Lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid, dissolves the “glue” that holds dead skin cells together, cleansing even the deepest layers of skin. This makes it one of nature's best exfoliators. Milk serum stimulates collagen production, reduces wrinkles, helps even out skin tone, and reduces blemishes and acne scars. Milk contains vitamins D, A, E and folic acid. Vitamin K helps boost the skin's hydration and moisture, and vitamin A ensures smoothness and radiance. Milk contains proteins, more specifically lactoglobulin and lactalbumin, with high regenerative and anti-wrinkle properties. Lactoferrin is a protein in milk that traps iron, slowing down oxidation processes and the formation of free radicals and stopping premature ageing. The vast majority of milk proteins are antimicrobial and antibacterial, keeping the skin healthy and forming a protective barrier against external aggressions. According to Ayurveda, milk provides a type of nutrition that no other food can offer: it nourishes the tissue and balances the emotions. Its nourishing properties guarantee the greatest ojas (luminosity or magnetic brightness).
